Barbara Davoll, author of 51 Christian books for children, including Tyndale House Publishers’s popular series, Christopher Churchmouse Friends And Family, began her life of Christian service at the age of ten when she traveled with her parents’ local church quartet as their pianist.

Raised in a Christian home, Barb accepted Christ at the age of eight and dedicated her life to the Lord as a teenager. While majoring in piano at Moody Bible Institute, she met Roy Davoll and they have served the Lord faithfully together 42 years – first in several youth pastorates and now as missionaries to children with Word of Life International. Roy is also a writer, having written and developed the Word of Life Olympian Curriculum for boys and girls, which is now translated in many countries abroad. They presently give the majority of their energies to children’s missionary conferences, family conferences, and Young Authors Day conferences in elementary and secondary schools. They have also ministered abroad in some 15 countries.

Barb manages to stay busy with extensive writing, speaking to women’s groups, serving in their local church as organist and pianist, and traveling with her husband in ministry. She, of course, is also chief cook and bottle washer for Roy and the family Schnauzer, Josh. The Davolls have two married children who are in full-time pastorates and six grandchildren – the joy of their lives.
