This is the story of Arthur Blessitt who was called by God in the 1960’s to minister the hippies, Hell’s Angels, runaways, drug addicts, teen prostitutes, flower children, would-be actors and rock stars, and other young people who were part of the emerging youth scene in Hollywood, CA. Answering this call was an important step for him to take. In 1968, his prayers were answered for a meeting place for those he ministered to on the Sunset Strip which became know as “His Place”. Furnished with leftover materials from a local electric company, an “old rugged cross” took center stage profoundly attracting attendees and changing lives. Later that year, while prayer early one morning, Blessitt sensed God saying to him: “I want you to take the cross that is hanging in His Place and carry it across America.” That was the beginning of an incredible journey of faith that has lasted over 38 years and has led Arthur Blessitt to travel around the world in almost 290 nations and island groups to share the love of Jesus Christ.
